Blade has been Precision ground, Laser cut, Hollow ground, Heat-treated to 58-60 Rc, & Etched

This blade just needs a final edge and some handles.

    good quality steel, strange finish on one side

    Got this for a project to help my little brother get his feet wet around power tools. Beautiful steel, perfect machining and almost sharp enough to cut out of the box. Put an edge and some maple handles on and he loves it. One side of the knife had a weird sheen to it however. I sanded the one side down slightly on scrap granite and re etched it and it looks ok, but the bevel still has a sheen. Doesn’t bother him so I’ll leave it be.
