   Great contrast between layers, very easy to finish the edge to razor sharp! Adding exotic wood scales will make a great gift when finished.

5. Functional Artisan Blade

   This blade not only looks amazing but it's a fine functioning skinner for easy carry. The desert ironwood scales with red or blue liner makes a statement finished with custom pins and sheath. The hardness is good and the blades I've ordered all hold a good edge (mine skinned 3 pigs, 2 mule deer, one elk and one aoudad sheep this past year with only sharpening twice. This blade would also look nice with a tighter layered pattern (rain or feather). This blade is a keeper and is great for skinning in tight folds around ears, eyes and nose for skinning a cape. This blade is a keeper!!!

   This is a beautiful, striking Damascus knife blade. I think it fits very well into a woman's hand and will make a beautiful gift.
